PRODUCT FEATURES

Everything needed to move a VHC from inspection to handover

Dealer VHC supports dealer preparation and buyer PDIs alongside a separate garage customer workflow for estimates, online authorisation and approved repair work—inside a private workspace for each business.

01

Digital vehicle inspection

Give technicians a structured but flexible workshop record.

Traffic-light results

Grade inspected items as good, advisory or urgent, with not-inspected support where a check cannot be completed.

Measurements and wear estimates

Record tyre and brake measurements and calculate indicative wear from editable new and service-limit values.

Multiple faults per check

Add several applicable fault descriptions plus custom technician text against one inspection item.

Notes and photographs

Keep supporting observations and evidence images with the finding they explain.

02

Fully custom dealership checklists

Dealership administrators can use the supplied VHC library, clear the template completely or build a new checklist from custom items. Checks can be selected, added, edited, removed and reordered for the work that dealership requires.

Every new VHC takes a snapshot of the dealership checklist used. Invited garages follow that assigned checklist, and later template changes apply only to future inspections without silently changing an existing vehicle record.

03

Garage estimates and customer authorisation

An enabled garage customer workspace turns findings into decisions without separating the evidence from the repair.

Repair pricing

Add parts, labour, VAT and a recommendation to relevant advisory or urgent findings.

Time-limited customer report

Share a read-only link containing the vehicle condition, photographs and quoted work.

Approve or defer choices

Let the customer respond to each quoted item and retain the submitted decision with the VHC.

Authorised-work notification

Show accepted jobs together with a clear outstanding count for the workshop team.

04

Completed dealer jobs and buyer PDI

Dealer-owned VHCs skip customer authorisation. The dealership or assigned garage marks preparation jobs completed while the protected VHC retains the original finding and audit history.

The dealership can issue a buyer PDI before every task is fixed. Completed jobs remain in their checklist position as Good without earlier internal details, while unfinished advisory or urgent findings remain visible.

05

Dealership and garage collaboration

Assign workshop work without opening the full dealership database.

Dealer-created vehicle records

The dealership enters the basic vehicle and booking details before assigning a VHC to an invited garage.

Assignment-only garage visibility

The garage sees only dealership vehicles assigned to its business.

Locked dealer information

Garage users can inspect the vehicle but cannot change dealer-controlled vehicle and customer fields.

Assignment-only garage access

Inside a dealer workspace, the garage manages its own staff but cannot create vehicle records or unassigned health checks. Its separate customer-VHC entitlement does not widen dealer access.

06

Business administration and data separation

Each dealership has its own administrators, staff users, checklist settings, vehicle records and invited-garage connections. Garage businesses manage their own staff and receive assignment-only dealer access; enabled garages can separately operate customer VHCs in their own workspace. Dealership administrators can manage their staff and delete their VHC records after a clear confirmation.

Only the designated Dealer VHC super administrator can open the cross-business directory. Ordinary dealership and garage users cannot browse another business’s VHCs or administration area.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions about everything needed to move a vhc from inspection to handover

Can users enter their own fault text?

Yes. Technicians can select applicable fault descriptions and add their own text, notes and evidence when the supplied choices do not fully describe the finding.

Can a check have more than one fault?

Yes. Dealer VHC supports multiple faults against one check so separate observations do not have to be combined into a vague result.

Can clean checks be completed quickly?

Yes. Every checklist item has its own Fast pass action. It records only that inspected item as no defect found and does not change any other check or overwrite tyre and brake measurements.

Who can manage users?

A business administrator can manage users for that dealership or garage. Platform-wide business administration is limited to the designated Dealer VHC super administrator.

Can dealerships remove a VHC?

Yes. A dealership administrator can permanently delete its own VHC after confirmation, including related customer-report and PDI links.

Do invited garages share one login?

No. An invited garage is a separate business and can manage individual logins for its own staff.
